Book Nook
The Book Nook is run in partnership with Croydon Libraries. It is part of our commitment to the community, to help keep a library service running in Shirley, following the closure of Shirley Library in 2024.
The Book Nook is accessible during the church opening hours during the week. Books can be borrowed and returned without checking them out. Simply bring back the books you borrow, ready for the next person to enjoy.
Groups that previously met at Shirley Library for shared reading and board games now meet in the Book Nook.
EVENTS:
Shared Reading Group meets every Friday, 10.15 - 11.15am
Shirley Reading Group meets on the first Wednesday of the month, 4.30 - 5.30pm
Games Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month, 2 - 4pm
Story Time for Under 5s and their families, Wednesday (term time only) at 11am
